Church of Another Spirit 

As I’ve introduced our name to my Christian friends, they at first seem to be taken aback. But not to worry! We are not some new age cult group. But rather, true blue Jesus lovin’, holy rollin’, Jesus freaks!!

The name comes from Numbers 14:24, as the passage goes, the Israelites had just came back from scouting out the Promised Land. All but two of the twelve gave a report that was unfavorable to Moses, they were, Caleb and Joshua. Caleb trusted Jehovah God and tried to encourage the Israelites to go in and possess the land. But they decided to trust in the report of the ten! The Lord God wanted to destroy the Israelites for not trusting Him but Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before God and prayed that He would not destroy all of Israel and so God pardoned them from immediate death and punished that generation of adults, by denying that they would ever enter the land.

Except for Caleb and Joshua, at this point, this is what God said, "But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went, and his seed shall possess it." KJV

I don’t want to be one that has tasted the fruits of the Promise, to reject that and be banished. But since I have entered into that Promise, I will not look back. I will put my trust in Father God and the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is now, my address is not in this world but it is in the Heavenly Realm, the Promised Land!

I pray to God that I am faithful with that spirit that He has put in me and that truly I can be called one that has another spirit.
